But graphics only go so far in terms of making a game good. Fortunately for giant robot fans, MechWarrior 3 has it in other areas where it counts as well. Gameplay is initially difficult thanks to the incredibly complex control scheme. After the training missions, though, things smooth out quite a bit. It's much easier with a good multi-button joystick but MechWarrior 3 can be played successfully using nothing more than the keyboard and mouse. The packed-in reference card is a handy and useful addition.

I think this is the FIRST true Mandela effect about a game seriesof me; i.e. have false or distorted memories about a game series. I coudl have sworn there was a full fledge Front Mission turned based RPG games put out in the last 10 years taht was excellent. Moreover, I though there were more 'games' the where full games and not offshoots in the series. I suppose Front Mission Evolved is not considered a horrible games, but that was more than ten years ago and seems to have very middling reviews here.I think when Front Mission 4 came out I had assumed what followed were games that were pretty good, but I guess not. Its so weird I have this distrct impression of maore games comng out and them being okay.With hat said, what shoudl I try to play FM4 or Front Mission Evolved? It always seemed like an neat unverse and game to play, so what shodul I be trying to play?

Would love it if FM2 got a proper full english translation though; that game has an extremely rough first few levels, and I just couldn't be bothered to beat my head against that wall without really knowing what was happening in the story.
